You’ll know that spring has sprung at the beach when The Newport Farmers Market reappears in the heart of the Deco District! Since 1978, the Market has been bringing fresh produce, local arts and crafts, and homemade goodies and products to the beach during the warmer months of the year. The Newport Farmers Market will reopen on March 25th this year from 9 AM to 1 PM and will take place every Saturday until December 9th, rain or shine. As usual, the Market will again be located across from city hall on the corner of Highway 101 and Angle Street.
With dozens of vendors, the Market has something for everyone! Local farmers provide a large variety of high-quality produce, meat, eggs, honey, and preserved food items, and are excited to tell you about their farms and talk about the products they’ve harvested for you. You’ll also find amazing, handcrafted items, art, flowers, photography, and nursery plants that will compliment your home or make the perfect gift for friends or family.
Listen to local musicians and enjoy deliciously prepared food for breakfast, lunch, or a snack as you shop the Market. Talk with Master Gardeners about best practices for your own garden and learn all sorts of techniques to store and preserve your own produce. The Market is also a great place to gather with friends and meet new and interesting people in the community.
