Find a Bit O’ Luck in Newport this St. Patrick’s Day!



St. Patrick’s Day is Friday, March 17, so pack your favorite green outfit and come to the beach for the day or better yet, spend the whole weekend! We’re sure you’ll have a great time, and we’ve put together a list of some ideas for special meals, drinks, and musical performances to complement your stay. Keep your eye out and you may even spot a leprechaun or find his elusive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!


Visit Zach’s Bistro for a very special four-course St. Patrick’s Day meal on March 17th! This quaint bistro in the Nye Beach neighborhood is a popular choice for special occasions. Reservations are required, so make sure to visit their website by Monday, March 13th to view the menu and reserve your spot.


Of course, Nana’s Irish Pub, also located in Nye Beach, is the star of St. Patrick’s Day in Newport! They’ll offer a limited weekend menu with all of your favorite Irish fare and features lamb pie and a wide variety of Irish beer and whiskey. St. James Gate, the most popular and exciting Irish band in the Northwest performs at 7:00 PM on March 18th. Nana’s doesn’t accept reservations, so plan to arrive early!


Local favorite Szabo’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant is again hosting a special St. Patrick’s Day dinner featuring corned beef, cabbage, red potatoes, and pints of Guinness stout from 11 AM to 8 PM on March 17th! Located in the Agate Beach neighborhood, Szabo’s is taking reservations and accepts walk-ins as seating allows.

Georgie’s Beachfront Grill is located next to the Hallmark Resort and not only specializes in delicious Northwest coast cuisine with an emphasis on seafood but also has an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean! Georgie’s offers a special St. Patrick’s Day dinner but hasn’t revealed it just yet. Visit their website for more information and to make reservations.


Although The Anchor @ Newport Brewing Company is relatively new to the Historic Bayfront, they have established themselves as a fun place to gather, savor fine craft beers, and enjoy hearty meals! Experience their special St. Patrick’s menu with cottage pie, bangers and mash, Irish potato soup, and a variety of drink specials from Tuesday, March 13th through Saturday, March 18th.

Newport’s first craft brewery, the Rogue Bayfront Public House, also located on the Historic Bayfront offers corned beef and cabbage and drink specials on St. Patrick’s Day and throughout the rest of the weekend.


Spend an evening or afternoon with The Newport Symphony Orchestra featuring Hunter Noack, an internationally acclaimed pianist who grew up in Newport! The Symphony performs on the evening of Saturday, March 18 at 7:30 PM, and again the next afternoon on Sunday, March 19 at 2:00 PM at the Newport Performing Arts Center.
